Championship week has arrived upon the 2014 College Football season. College Football Playoff – Week 14 Committee Rankings
Despite being the only undefeated team in the nation, Florida State keep falling in committee rankings for the College Football Playoff, while TCU move up to number 3, sitting right behind Alabama (number one) and Oregon (number two), while Ohio State and Baylor are waiting for an opening.

Nebraska Cornhuskers – They’ll Never be Elite Again
The sad reality about Nebraska firing Bo Pelini can be split in two: Most schools would kill for having a three of four loss season each year, and that no matter who comes in for him, the odds of doing a lot better aren’t very good.

Michigan Wolverines – Brady Hoke Is Going to be Fired
Meeting with the Athletic Director a few days after a miserable season ended with a loss to their biggest rivals. Brady Hoke has done a terrible job these last three years with Michigan, and there’s a good chance he walks out of his meeting with Jim Hackett looking for a new job.

The San Ending to the Kosta Karageorge Story
Sad endings are great in the world of fiction, not real life. Kosta Karageorge was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, ending the hopes of finding the Ohio State defensive lineman and Wrestling team member alive, gone missing since last week.

2014 College Football Season – Week 14 Rankings
A new number one in rankings that eventually only offer a different alternative and viewing point, not an actual decision. Alabama overtake Florida State despite the Seminoles remaining undefeated, while TCU take advantage of Mississippi State losing to enter the hypothetical playoff group, earning a number four ranking.

USC Over Notre Dame – Something Nice to Remember
A rivalry that’s lost some of its prestige in recent years is the one between USC and Notre Dame. The Trojans were the next team to run all over the Fighting Irish, winning 49-14 with a big game for Cody Kessler, setting down some groundwork for hopefully a big season next year.

Georgia Tech & Clemson – Finally Ending Their Rivalry Losing Streak
Away from the focus of conference championships and playoff rankings, Georgia Tech and Clemson earned themselves very big victories, beating Georgia and South Carolina for the first time after a long losing streak, part of the surprising ACC over SEC dominance experienced through rivalry week.

Oregon Ducks – Marcus Mariota Makes Sure He Wins the Heisman
As big as the Civil War is in the Beaver State, Oregon were mostly concerned about not slipping up against Oregon State so their playoff hopes stay intact before the Pac-12 championship game, while Marcus Mariota put on one final show to make sure no one else wins the Heisman Trophy.
