Game of Thrones – The NBA Version 2.0
The guys (and girls???) over at Bleacherreport aren’t tired of making Game of Thrones videos with NBA connections, releasing another ‘Game of Zones’ cartoon that depicts the Miami Heat waiting in a tower, the San Antonio Spurs marching over the ice and Derrick Rose dreaming again.

NBA Playoffs – LeBron James & Dwyane Wade Hit Rock Bottom
Unlike the first two games of the NBA Finals, the duo of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade actually seemed to hurt the Miami Heat during the moments that mattered with lazy defense and even lazier thinking on offense. Unlike the first loss this wasn’t a stroke of bad luck or cramping. This was a duo of great players being unable to make the right decisions while the Miami Heat were being swept aside by the San Antonio Spurs.

NBA Playoffs – San Antonio Spurs Almost Perfect, Miami Heat Surprisingly Bad
Momentum swings and shifts in the NBA finals as the San Antonio Spurs, backed by a close to perfect shooting performance and led by Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard take a 2-1 lead over the Miami Heat with a 111-92 win, probably surprised by how bad LeBron James and Dwayne Wade were during in game 3.

NBA Playoffs – Dwyane Wade & Manu Ginobili Won’t Stop Flopping
There isn’t an official marker on when flopping began in the NBA, but people started noticing it a lot more when Manu Ginobili arrived in the league. So it’s not surprising to see him getting called out for this blatant cheating, although only Dwayne Wade, another master flopper, was the only one fined for doing so in game 2 of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat.

Miami Heat – LeBron James Cramping Up Isn’t the Only Problem
Everything fell apart the moment LeBron James started cramping up. Maybe it was the rising temperature in the arena that caused all of this; maybe it was simply fatigue or bad luck. These thing happen. But the Miami Heat were dominating, leading, en route to stealing home court advantage. And then everything fell apart.

NBA Finals – Miami Heat Need a Better Dwyane Wade
The Dwyane Wade of these playoffs isn’t the one from the regular season or from last year’s postseason. He is scoring more, shooting better from anywhere on the floor and in short, isn’t a problem for the Miami Heat and LeBron James like he was for certain stages in the NBA finals against the Spurs the first time around.

NBA Playoffs – Paul George Making Excuses, LeBron James Still Isn’t Impressed
Losers make excuses, winners make adjustments. That’s an actual saying, and clearly Paul George, contradicting himself all throughout the press conference coming after the Indiana Pacers lost to the Miami Heat in game 4 of the Eastern conference, hasn’t heard of it. I’m not sure LeBron James has either, but his coach probably has, and it was quite clear he wasn’t impressed with another player from the inferior team (so far) trying to engage in some sort of trash talk.

NBA Playoffs – Miami Heat Finding Answers, Indiana Pacers Keep Struggling
The Eastern Conference Finals is a perfect example of just how much creative and good coaching makes a difference, and what playoff basketball is all about – adjustments, between and in games. The Miami Heat started out in a disastrous way, but the right modification from Erik Spoelstra allowed LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to take over the game, while the Indiana Pacers couldn’t react to the changes with their one way style of basketball, losing 99-87 and falling to a 2-1 deficit in the series.

NBA Playoffs – Indiana Pacers in Some Paul George Concussion Problems
Losing home court advantage wasn’t the only bad thing about the bottom line in the game 2 loss to the Miami Heat. The Indiana Pacers found out that Paul George was suffering from a concussion at the end of the game, which might even deny him from playing in the next one if he doesn’t pass the tests of being fully cleared from the effects.

NBA Playoffs – Miami Heat Made Adjustments, Indiana Pacers Did Nothing
Making adjustments is the name of the game in the NBA playoffs, and the Miami Heat combined that factor that comes with good coaching and experience to the ability of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to convert in the most important of moments, leading the Miami Heat to a 87-83 road win in game of the Eastern conference finals, making it a 1-1 series against the Indiana Pacers, who clearly regressed in comparison to their first game, looking quite lost and sheepish in the closing minutes.
