By rule, a muffed punt cannot be returned or retreated. It didn’t stop Kent State’s Andre Parker from picking it up and running 58 yards… in the wrong direction, although it eventually didn’t count in the official stat numbers, as the Golden Flashes beat the Towson Tigers 41-21.

It didn’t take long for the Big 12 to release their 2012 schedule with West Virginia in it, only hours after the Mountaineers severed their ties and relations with the Big East, a conference they were a part of since 1991 and won its title 7 times.
