The Pittsburgh Penguins improved to 2-0 behind Phil Kessel and Marc-Andre Fleury, and the Colorado Avalanche survived the high scoring affair with the Dallas Stars, led by a hat trick from Joe Colborne.

Subban with his first goal for the Nashville Predators in a Power Play win over the Chicago Blackhawks, and two goals by Sean Couturier in an impressive away win over the Los Angeles Kings.
