  • Recent Final Four Most Outstanding Player Winners and Their NBA Careers

Anthony Davis won every possible indvidiaul award as the 2011-2012 College Basketball season concluded, including the 2012 Final Four Most Outstanding player, the MVP of the weekend. Unlike most of the guys who have won the award in recent years, Davis should go number one in the draft, the first MOP winner to go numero uno since Danny Manning in 1988.

  • Lamb Too Much To Handle – Kentucky Win First National Championship Since 1998

John Calipari won his first national title after three unsuccessful previous trips to the final four, leading Kentucky to their first title since 1998, despite the best player in 2011-2012, Anthony Davis, scoring only one field goal against a fighting Kansas Jayhawks team, that just didn’t have enough to keep up with the speed and talent of the Wildcats.

  • Anthony Davis & Kentucky One Win Away From Glory

Anthony Davis had to be great all night long, while the future NBA players around him had trouble dominating for long stretches. The Freshman led Kentucky to a 69-61 win over Louisville in the opening game of the Final Four, making it to the national finals for the first time since 1998, which was the last time the title went to the Big Blue nation.

  • Anthony Davis Becomes Kentucky’s First AP Player of the Year

Anthony Davis has made quite an impact during his Freshman year with the Kentucky Wildcats. Becoming the school’s first player to win the AP College Basketball Player of the Year award might be a distraction, but it certainly never hurts to pick up prestigious awards.

  • Kentucky vs Losuiville – A Final Four Turning a State Crazy

Old men fighting during their dialysis treatment after getting into an argument about Louisville and Kentucky. Resteraunts and bars, usually neutral, choosing sides and inviting only blue or red fans for the game so fights don’t breakout. They will elsewhere I guess. Nothing like alcohol and good old-fashioned inner-state rivalry to get things going on. […]

  • Kentucky – Louisville Such a Final Four Attraction Because of Calipari – Pitino Rivalry

Rick Pitino will make his sixth trip to the Final Four this weekend, his second with Louisville. For John Calipari, it’ll be his third visit to the national Semi Final, his second consecutive time with Kentucky. Like in that 1996 Semi Final between them, when Calipari was coaching UMass and Pitino was the Kentucky Head coach, all the focus is on them.

  • The Kentucky Derby – The 2012 Final Four Version

Kentucky will be the only #1 seed in the 2012 Final Four, which is an improvment for big teams after last year, in which no #1 or #2 seeds made it in to the last weekend for the first time in tournament history. Unlike 2011, a year with no clear favorites, Kentucky stand as the obvious choice to win at all, with Kansas, Ohio State and Louisville waiting in line.

  • Kentucky Leads a Night Of No Surprises

John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats are in it for the whole thing, and so far there doesn’t seem to be anyone even near of interrupting their run to the final four. The Iowa State Cyclones made an impression by beating Uconn, but were hardly a match for the most talented group in College Basketball, losing 87-71 in the first day of the Last 32 action.

  • 2012 NCAA Tournament Diary – Day 1

Uconn and Jim Calhoun became the first NCAA champion to bow down in the first round of next year’s NCAA tournament since UCLA in 1996, as the Iowa State Cyclones jumped the Huskies from the start and never let go of a big lead. This was only an upset because of the names of the program, but with no actual shocking bracket busters on the opening night of the 2012 NCAA tourney, the Cyclones made the biggest splash.

  • The Most Valuable College Basketball Teams

The top 68 basketball programs in the nation (at least for 2012) will begin their journey in the 2012 NCAA tournament, with the Kentucky Wildcats regarded as the big favorites to win it all, ranked #1 in the nation and going undefeated in the SEC this season. Their also one of the most profitable programs in the nation, but they’re not the most valuable or profitable, with another Kentucky team surprising at the top.
