Free agency is grinding down to a halt, but Dirk Nowitzki re-signing with the Dallas Mavericks, David West joining the Golden State Warriors bandwagon and the San Antonio Spurs trading Boris Diaw is worth telling the story.

The big news of the NBA free agency finally came out: Kevin Durant joining the Golden State Warriors, and leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder. Everything else: Andrew Bogut traded to the Dallas Mavericks, Harrison Barnes joining him on a max-contract signing, and even Pau Gasol joining the San Antonio Spurs, seems miniscule and irrelevant.

In a day mostly filled with minor signings ($8 million a season is minor now), the two standouts were Rajon Rondo, joining the Chicago Bulls, once a hated rival, and Jamal Crawford, pulling a 180 and staying with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Another leg of the NBA free agency is over, although as last year taught us, anything can happen once the moratorium is lifted. In any case, Al Horford chose the Boston Celtics, Ryan Anderson joins the Houston Rockets and Bismack Biyombo heads back to the Southeast division, joining the Orlando Magic.

The NBA’s free agency period is moving along nicely. No decision from Kevin Durant, but plenty of big moves all around, with the Memphis Grizzlies spending big on Mike Conley and Chandler Parsons, the Atlanta Hawks sign Dwight Howard in something of a too-late homecoming, and the Los Angeles Lakers make another veteran addition with Luol Deng.

The NBA Free Agency period has begun, starting out with the Los Angeles Lakers making the big splash on Timofey Mozgov, the New York Knicks signing (as expected) Joakim Noah, and there also teams getting the re-signings they want, with the Toronto Raptors keeping DeMar DeRozan and the Charlotte Hornets hanging on to Nicolas Batum.
