Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers played their best game of the season, beating the limited New York Knicks 99-82 to make it 2-2 so far this season. Bryant had little help in the scoring department, and he won’t, probably, all season long.

Two weeks away before the lockout officially starts. The wonderful 2011 NBA Playoffs still in my mind, and can’t help but thinking about next year. Phil Jackson – A Career in Numbers
It seems over this time. I have no plans to return said Jackson on Wednesday. He did leave an opening for a return. Retirements are never a sure thing in the NBA. But this is his second retirement. The Orlando Magic got Dwight Howard (30 points) to carry them on his back one more time as the beat the Knicks, the Los Angeles Lakers cruised in Minneapolis against the Wolves for their fifth straight while the Tony Parker-Less San Antonio Spurs lost for the 11th time this season, 109-93 at Memphis.
