Selection Sunday is behind us, the First Four and more importantly, the 2016 NCAA Tournament is ahead. While there are surprises with some of the overall selections and seeding, there’s nothing surprising about the number one teams: Kansas in the South regional, Oregon in the West, North Carolina in the East and Virginia in the Midwest.

Week 17 NFL Playoff Scenarios
Week 17 marks the season finale for the 2015 NFL regular season, with mostly seeding remaining to play for. In the AFC playoff spots are still up for grabs, with the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers battling (separately) for one while the Houston Texans need a lot of things to happen to lose their spot to the Indianapolis Colts. In the NFC, it’s all about seeding, with the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals trying to get the number on seed and home field advantage, while the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers go head to head to try and avoid the Wild Card seeding, and win the NFC North.

NFL Playoff Scenarios Heading into Week 16
We’re entering the final two weeks of the NFL season. The New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals have their spot clinched, and so do the Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks. Still chasing? Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts and even the Jacksonville Jaguars, with plenty of seeding scenarios open for discussion.

NBA Rumors – Division Titles Won’t Mean Anything
The NBA is moving forward with its plans of tweaking the playoff seeding, and will likely approve a change that makes divisions, or at least division titles, meaningless, as seeding for the playoffs in both conferences will be based on the eight teams with the best record, regardless of division titles.

FIFA Plan to Change World Cup Ranking System & Screw Belgium & Colombia
FIFA isn’t an organization that likes change, in pretty much anything. So in order to avoid a situation in which “unattractive” names like Belgium or Colombia are the first seed in the 2014 World Cup group draw, they’re about to once again tinker with the system and enable nations with a better chance of selling tickets to have a number one spot reserved for them.

NBA Playoffs – Western Conference Race
In the stronger conference, the race for the NBA playoffs is happening on all fronts, with the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder fighting for the number one spot; the Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets for the 3-4-5 finish; the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets on avoiding one of the two clear favorites in the West, while the Los Angeles Lakers try to catch up with the Utah Jazz for the eighth and final spot.

The 2013 NCAA Tournament Bracket – 68 Team Edition
All four number one seeds in the 2013 NCAA tournament, Louisville, Kansas, Indiana and Gonzaga, aren’t repeats from last year. The 68 team field kicks off with the first four on March 19 & 20, with the second round, the actual tournament in its original form of 64 teams, begins on March 21.
