The fallout from the Larry Nassar scandal and trial is hitting Michigan State in full force. After Mark Hollis, the school’s athletic director resigned early Friday morning, head coaches Tom Izzo (basketball) and Mark Dantonio (football) could resign, possibly in the next few days.

It has been a rough few years for Mike Brown, who gets the less than impressive mark of being fired by the same team twice, being let go by the Cleveland Cavaliers after only one season at the helm. This will obviously put the names of George Karl and Stan Van Gundy at the top of the list for successors, while Mark Jackson will also be in the mix, along with college basketball coaches like Billy Donovan, Fred Hoiberg, Tim Izzo, John Beilein and Tony Bennett.

Louisville Burst the Michigan State Bubble
The Louisville Cardinals weren’t supposed to make it this far, ranked 17th in the nation and getting the #4 seed in the West Region. But Michigan State were overrated to begin with, partially because everybody loves Tom Izzo. Rick Pitino? Great coach, but not as loved, in an understatement kind of tone. Now the Cardinals are in the Elite eight, and the Spartans are the first #1 team to fall in the 2012 NCAA tournament.
