2014 College Basketball Season – Week 6 Rankings

Despite struggling against UNLV at home, Arizona dominated the polls and landed its first top spot in a decade thanks to their 9-0 record and wins over Duke and San Diego State earlier on. The Wildcats lead a foursome with an undefeated record – Syracuse, Ohio State and Wisconsin.

Luis Suarez – The Best Scorer Per Minute in Europe

Is Luis Suarez the best striker in the world? Maybe even the best player? If scoring efficiency is the most important determining factor than yes he is, having the best goals-per-minute ratio in league matches among players from the top 5 leagues in Europe.

2014 World Cup – Being in The Group of Death Means Not Winning

Being drawn into the group of death in the World Cup means the chances of going very far in the tournament are awful, non existing even. Uruguay, England and Italy weren’t great favorites going into Brazil 2014, but after the draw they’ve receiving, pitted against each other, their chances of doing something memorable in the tournament, which means at least a semifinal, took another huge hit.

Liverpool FC – A Chance to See How Important Steven Gerrard Really Is

Throughout the last couple of seasons I’ve heard grumblings from some Liverpool fans about the importance of Steven Gerrard, suggesting that it may be time for him to step aside and start some matches off the bench instead of being a midfield rock in the lineup. Martin Atkinson Helps Swansea & Chico Flores Cheat

Flowers? Hallmark thank you card? Money? Raptos vs Lakers – Kobe Bryant Needs a Lot More Time

Too much focus on Kobe Bryant, and not enough on the rest of the game. The Toronto Raptors should be a team the Los Angeles Lakers beat at home, but it’s going to take time getting used to life with Bryant, for good or bad, back on the court again. The visitors didn’t mind not having Rudy Gay playing for them anymore by the looks of it.
-
Pacers vs Thunder – Not a Fair Fight Right Now

All the talk about how good the Indiana Pacers being the best in the NBA and Paul George being a better player than Kevin Durant went into hiatus after a 118-94 win for the Oklahoma City Thunder, keeping their undefeated status and proving some kind of a point in the meaningless power rankings at this stage of the season.

Houston Rockets – Jeremy Lin Seeing James Harden & Dwight Howard Doing Well Without Him

Initially, with Jeremy Lin out of the picture due to his ankle injury, the Houston Rockets looked disorganized and selfish. But since the return of Chandler Parsons, things have been looking better. James Harden isn’t as selfish and even putting an effort on defense, while Dwight Howard is playing his best basketball since signing that huge deal in the summer.
