Miami Heat – LeBron James Great When the Plan is Working

Even without Dwyane Wade, the Miami Heat didn’t have too much trouble getting their own dose of payback against the Detroit Pistons, beating them 110-95 with another almost triple-double from LeBron James, who along with his teammates played the right way to overcome a key absentee and the usual problems in the paint and on the boards.

Celtics vs Knicks – Impossible to Comprehend

Even hours after the game was over, the final scoreline and the meaning of it were quite difficult to acknowledge. The Boston Celtics, a decent team with a new head coach and pretty bad roster, beat the New York Knicks, a team with a superstar and not much else, 114-73, at the Madison Square Garden. It still doesn’t sound right.

Philadelphia Eagles – Winners of the 2013 Snow Bowl

For a half or so, it looked like the Detroit Lions, thanks to the strong arm of Matthew Stafford and the big target Calvin Johnson happens to be, were more accustomed to the weather. The moment LeSean McCoy got going, everything flipped, and the Philadelphia Eagles looked like the weather wasn’t even bothering them, as their running back slid his way to the record books and to a 34-20 win.

San Francisco 49ers – The NFC West Isn’t Over Yet

Barely scraping a 19-17 win at home against the Seattle Seahawks probably won’t be enough for the San Francisco 49ers to win the division, but it certainly keeps them in prime position to win one of the wild card playoff spots, avoiding a loss that would have made things very complicated.

Baltimore Ravens – A Crazy Ending in the Snow

The Minnesota Vikings (rightfully so) had complaints about the officials. Adrian Peterson had something to say about the Baltimore crowd. The Minnesota Vikings once again managed to drop a game in the final seconds, while the Baltimore Ravens continue to stumble towards the playoffs with the craziest finish to an NFL game we’ve seen in a very long time, winning 29-26.

New Orleans Saints – Still Kings of the NFC South

The hype from what Cam Newton and Ron Rivera are doing this season with the Carolina Panthers isn’t over, but it’s been put into prespective after a 31-14 loss against the New Orleans Saints, as Drew Brees put on quite the impressive performance, throwing four touchdown passes.

New England Patriots – A Happy Ending, Despite Everything

It was hard to say how pleased, if at all, were the New England Patriots with their 27-26 win over the Cleveland Browns, scoring two touchdowns in the final minute of the game. They got help from the officials, they probably lost Rob Gronkowski for the season (again), and their defense and especially secondary looked embarrassing at times against a team that has only one go-to-guy on offense.

2013 College Football Season – Final BCS Standings

The latest edition of the BCS standings isn’t just the last one for the 2013 College Football season, but the final top 25 we’ll ever get to see, as the sport moves on to a playoff system instead of polls + computer rankings to determine the two teams to make the national championship game. By the way, no surprise there, as Florida State and Auburn finish at 1-2, heading to play for the Crystal ball.

The 2013-2014 College Football Bowl Season

With the final BCS standings coming out, we have ourselves a BCS national championship game between Florida State and Auburn. The rest of the BCS games? Ohio State and Clemson in the Orange Bowl; Baylor and UCF in the Fiesta Bowl; Alabama and Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl; and Michigan State playing Stanford in the […]
