Ichiro Suzuki Lights Up Tokyo on Opening Day For the Mariners
Ichiro Suzuki felt right at home in Tokyo, and for one night, the Seattle Mariners, opening the 2012 MLB season with a 3-1 win over the Oakland Athletics, are the best team in Baseball. Just for one night, before they start their usual decline down the AL West standings, and hope for a better season than the last two.

Good and Bad From the Kobe Bryant Dictatorship With the Los Angeles Lakers
Kobe Bryant scored 30 points, taking him to 29,283 points in his career, all with the Los Angeles Lakers. You said Kobe Bryant? You said records, this time one that belonged to Michael Jordan, as Kobe Bryant became the all-time leading scorer for one franchise. Meaningless to tell you the truth, unlike the Lakers winning 104-101 against the Warriors, Bryant venting some anger at Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum gets the Mike Brown bench treatment.

Does Roberto Di Matteo Deserve the Chelsea Manager Job?
Roberto Di Matteo wasn’t supposed to become Chelsea manager, but Avram Grant came out of nowhere and nearly won a Champions League title and the Premier League. Things haven’t gone so well for him since, but that’s a different story. Real Madrid and the Directions Jose Mourinho Takes
Jose Mourinho is playing a weird mind game with… I’m not sure exactly who. The Media? Barcelona? His own players? Whatever it is, it’s working this season, and although he reverted to his old annoying habits after two draws against Villareal and Malaga, Real Madrid are back on track after a 3-0 win in Cyprus over APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League.

Perfection Caught Through a Surfing Photo
Perfect moments are called that because they, well, rarely happen. Catching that perfect moment on camera? Maybe even rarer. For those who love surfing, there are those moments when everything is in place. For me, it’s the moment of waiting while laying on your board, in calms between storms, getting ready for the next big one.

Bashir Mason turned into the youngest head coach in Division I College Basketball after being appointed to be the head coach of the Wagner Seahawks of the Northeast conference, replacing the Hurley brothers team who moved on to Rhode Island after a 25-6 season with Wagner, which wasn’t enough to get an invitation into the NCAA tournament.

Chilean Earthquake Doesn’t Bother Colo Colo and Palestino
The 7.1 magnitude earthquake did hit central Chile left behind, luckily, only property damage and 3 injured while many were evacuated along the coasts in fear of the following waves. A football match between Colo Colo and Palestino wasn’t affected by the earthquake as well, with the players and the referee continuing as usual, in contrast to the commentators and fans in the stadium.

Who Has the Better Big Three – The Oklahoma City Thunder or The Miami Heat
The Thunder beating the Miami Heat sent the Heat into another bad loss against the Indiana Pacers, and the questions regarding their ability to win the NBA title is put into question once again. Having LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh put the Heat immediatly in contender territory for the second straight year. Having Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden? Took some time, but they’re finally there.
