The Los Angeles Dodgers clinch their division with a walk off home run in the 10th inning, as the San Francisco Giants lose, but thank the Chicago Cubs for beating the St. Louis Cardinals to keep them in second place of the Wild Card Standings, topped by the New York Mets, exploding with 17 runs against the Philadelphia Phillies. The end of an era everyone saw coming: LSU say goodbye to Les Miles by way of firing him, resulting in a few Crying Jordan memes, and others celebrating his incompetence as a head coach.

College Football Rankings
No change in the top 7 of the rankings following week 4, with Alabama, Ohio State (without playing), Louisville, Michigan, Clemson, Houston and Stanford staying put. Wisconsin enter the top 10 for the first time this season, Ole Miss enjoy the biggest rise after beating Georgia, who had the biggest drop of all, 13 spots. A good way to summarize a hall of fame career like Kevin Garnett had is through moments caught through the camera, and saved forever. From his days playing high school in Chicago, to his rookie year and relative success on the Minnesota Timberwolves. To the highs and lows with the Boston Celtics, until the inevitable decline on the Brooklyn Nets, and emotional return to the team it all started with.

MLB Rumors: Blue Jays, Orioles & Two Upcoming Free Agency Dilemmas
Interesting how things work out. The Baltimore Orioles got Mark Trumbo because a team didn’t want to pay him less than qualifying offer money, and now will probably be unable to retain him for just that. Meanwhile, the Toronto Blue Jays aren’t sure about keeping Jose Bautista, and even if they will, paying him more than the qualifying offer doesn’t seem likely.

The New York Yankees want to get below the luxury tax so they can get back to big spending in free agency, after changing their ways and tactics in the offseason recently. Regardless of how this season ends (probably without the playoffs), they’re headed in the right direction.
