NBA April 16 Playoff Scores
The NBA Playoffs began with the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder crushing two clueless looking teams from Texas, the Atlanta Hawks barely edging the Boston Celtics in a game filled with mistakes, and the Indiana Pacers providing the only away win of the day, picking up their defense in the second half to add another disappointment to the long, sad history of the Toronto Raptors.

Golden State Warriors – So Good, So Boring
As expected, the Houston Rockets didn’t put up much of a fight. The Golden State Warriors began their road towards what should be an easy second consecutive NBA title, and while their ability does leave us stunned at times (less and less), it’s not good having a playoff with the end result already known.

Toronto Raptors – Playoff Losers Never Change
Each time the Toronto Raptors make it to the NBA playoffs their bar of hope goes higher. Their fans get ecstatic. Everyone feels that this year is their year. It’s their time… at least to win a postseason series. But then reality hits them in the face.

NBA Playoffs – Teams & Their Rookies
You’ll find 0 rookies leading a team into the playoffs this season and very few actually playing a significant parts for the postseason teams. Norman Powell for the Toronto Raptors, Myles Turner for the Indiana Pacers, Josh Richardson for the Miami Heat and Justin Anderson on the Dallas Mavericks slightly break the perception, but not by much.

NHL Playoffs Scores
The NHL postseason carried on with the conference quarterfinals, which included the Tampa Bay Lightning taking a 2-0 lead, the Florida Panthers and Chicago Blackhawks making it 1-1 in their series while the Nashville Predators opened their series against the Anaheim Ducks with a win.

MLB April 15 Scores & Standings
The Washington Nationals remain the only team in major league baseball with just one loss following their demolition of the Philadelphia Phillies. Both the Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins finally win a game, their first for the season. The Chicago White Sox enjoy a terrific performance from Chris Sale, as do the Houston Astros with Dallas Keuchel.

The NBA Playoffs begin with four series opening on Saturday: Defending NBA champions, Golden State Warriors, hosting the Houston Rockets; Toronto Raptors at home vs the Indiana Pacers; Oklahoma City Thunder visited by the Dallas Mavericks; and the very intriguing series between the Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks.

One of the best wide receivers in the upcoming draft is Laquon Treadwell out of Ole Miss, moving around from team to team, showing his talent. The New York Giants, Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings seemed to be the most interested parties at the moment.

Jeremy Lin – Building a Playoff Legacy
For the fourth time in his NBA career, Jeremy Lin has helped a team into the NBA playoffs. With the Charlotte Hornets he has a shot at expanding his so far very limited postseason repertoire, although it obviously has a lot to do with which side of the bed Steve Clifford and partially Kemba Walker wake up on.

NHL Playoffs Scores
The second night of the NHL postseason has two teams winning on the road – the New York Islanders and San Jose Sharks. Menawhile, the Dallas Stars dominated the Minnesota Wild while the Washington Capitals were stingy in their victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.
