Arsenal needed a Thomas Vermaelen goal (5th goal of the season) to jump start the wagon, but it helped, and despite going behind again, three minutes later Arsenal were ahead 3-2 for the first time in the match, and despite a decent second half from Blackburn, their defense crumbled and Arsenal got their 5th win of the season and kept close to the leading pack.

Cesc Fabregas had a sublime performance and a fantastic goal, capping off his best performance of the season and gives Wenger and Arsenal a lot of hope regarding their best and most important player. Blackburn? They should pick their fights elsewhere. They did lead twice, but I don’t think anyone doubted for a second that Arsenal would grab the win eventually. It’ll probably be another year battling for a place in the Premiership for “Big Sam’s” boys.
