Always a heated fixture, after Birmingham’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa at St. Andrews last night, the Birmingham fans decided that a win isn’t enough and they fancy having a go at Villa fans, and brought back scenes that haven’t been seen in English top flight football for a very long time.

Invading the pitch, shooting flares into the Villa stands and trying to break into the Aston Villa fans’ stand. Villa fans broke chairs and threw them into the pitch in retaliation. Not a pretty sight. As Birmingham’s manager, Alex McLeish, said – “This brought us back to darker days of the game.”
