When the best attacking team in the La Liga meets the worst defense in Spain, things like this can happen. Real Madrid went up early, and didn’t stop scoring against Zaragoza’s helpless side. Van Der Vaart scored his first league goals of the season, and Higuain continued showing why he’s preferred over Benzema (who scored) and Raul. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brilliant goal, exhibiting some fantastic dance moves in the Zaragoza penalty area. Real are now 2 points behind Barcelona with 40 goals in 15 games as they enter the christmas break, while Zaragoza’s trouble worsen, as their goal conceding record (the worst in the league) got a considerable (negative) bonus.

Gonzalo Higuain, 3rd minute

Rafael Van Der Vaart, 26th minute

Rafael Van Der Vaart, 28th minute

Gonzalo Higuain, 34th minute

Cristiano Ronaldo, 50th minute

Karim Benzema, 71st minute
