The Houston Astros inexplicably lose for the third straight time to the Chicago White Sox and Yoan Moncada, while the Los Angeles Dodgers carry on beating everyone, this time leaning on Yu Darvish’s pitching to beat division rivals Arizona Diamondbacks.

Baltimore Orioles 7  Oakland A’s 2: The Athletics lose a third straight game, while the Orioles move to one game under .500. Wade Miley gave up 3 hits in 7 innings while striking out 7, and Trey Mancini stood out with a couple of home runs.

Cleveland Indians 1  Tampa Bay Rays 4: The Indians lose their 2nd straight game, falling to a 3-run homer by Corey Dickerson in the 8th, setting up the save for Alex Colome.

Houston Astros 2  Chicago White Sox 3: The Astros lose their third straight in South Side, letting things slip away from them in the 9th – Yoan Moncada hitting a game-tying home run. In the 11th, he hit the walk off single RBI.

Kansas City Royals 6  St. Louis Cardinals 8: Another loss for the Royals in St. Louis, while the Cards pick up a 6th straight win, putting them just one game behind the Cubs. Dexter Fowler hit his 15th home run of the season, a grand slam in the 7th that broke a 3-3 tie.

Los Angeles Angels 6  Seattle Mariners 3: The Angels aren’t giving up on the whole wild card race, getting a solid performance from Tyler Skaggs. The Angels dropped a 3 run lead in the 8th, but Mike Trout hit a 3-RBI double in the 9th before Cam Bedrosian sealed the deal.

Los Angeles Dodgers 8  Arizona Diamondbacks 6: Yu Darvish struck out 10 in 5 innings, while the offense of Enrique Hernandez and Justin Turner did the rest of the work in a high scoring affair. 

Miami Marlins 2  Washington Nationals 3: Giancarlo Stanton put the Marlins in front with a 2-run homer, but a double from Bryce Harper and a 8th-inning home run by Brian Goodwin gave the Nats a 2nd straight win.

Minnesota Twins 7  Milwaukee Brewers 2: The Twins are above .500 again, beating the Brewers who fall to 3rd in the NL Central. Byron Buxton finished with a couple of RBIs, both RBI singles.

New York Mets 10  Philadelphia Phillies 0: The shutout of the Phillies included Jacob DeGrom striking out 9 batters in 6.2 innings and home runs from Neil Walker, Wilmer Flores, Michael Conforto and Curtis Granderson.

New York Yankees 0  Toronto Blue Jays 4: The Yankees fall to 4.5 games behind the Red Sox, as Marco Estrada finally picked up a win in an impressive performance. Jose Bautista hit a 2-out home run, his 19th of the season.

Pittsburgh Pirates 7  Detroit Tigers 5: The Pirates keep their playoff hopes alive, as the pitching of Gerrit Cole (8 innings, 7 strikeouts) and the offense of Josh Bell (1 home run, 3 RBIs) took care of business in Detroit.

San Diego Padres 3  Cincinnati Reds 10: The Reds win their second in a row, mostly thanks to a grand slam home run by Scooter Gennett in the 7th to lift them from 1 run down to an irreversible lead.
