2013 College Football Rankings – Preseason Edition

No surprises at the top of the preseason top 25, with the national champions Alabama looking like huge favorites to stay at number one by the end of the season, and the SEC having six teams overall in the top 12. Ohio State seem like the only real BCS hope coming from the Big Ten, while the Pac-12 will probably have to choose between Oregon and Stanford as its best team, hopefully making it to the title game this time. No real change at the top 25 of the AP Poll, as Notre Dame passed the biggest test of their weekend, a visit to USC, with another impressive defensive stand. The other two claimants to the BCS national championship game, Alabama and Georgia, had no problem beating their in-state nemesis on rivalry week. More

Thanks to Texas A&M, the AP Top 25 of week 11 is a little less complicated, as Alabama lose for the first time this season and drop to fourth, while Oregon take over the number one spot in the nation, followed by Kansas State and Notre Dame, gathering tough wins to keep them undefeated and on course for a national title game. Alabama keeps on cruising (vs Tennesee) while Florida continue to pick up the most impressive wins, this time enhailiting the South Carolina Gamecocks, finding themselves out of the SEC race for good.
