Posted on 25 Mar, 2013, by Morgan in BasketballWe do have plenty of favorites, including Indiana and Kansas, not having too many problems in advancing to the Sweet Sixteen, but some favorites have fallen along the way, as Florida Gulf Coast continue their incredible run by knocking off San Diego State, while La Salle left out the SEC champions, Ole Miss, out of the competition as well, making everyone remember they used to be one of the best teams in the nation 60 years ago. NCAA Tournament – The First Number One Seed to Say Goodbye

So according to the script, the Bulldogs fell against ninth seed Wichita State, leaving Ohio State as the favorite in the West Regional. Other than that, upsets weren’t really a popular thing on day 3 of the tournament, as Louisville had no problem excreting their top seed status, while both Michigan and Michigan State enjoyed easy games in their Round of 32 games. Upsets in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament

Louisville, Syracuse, Michigan, VCU & Arizona Make it Look Easy; Marquette & Gonzaga Not so Much
Posted on 22 Mar, 2013, by Morgan in BasketballIn a first night of NCAA tournament basketball, we had one real clear upset, but quite a few games that went down to the wire that probably shouldn’t have, including Gonzaga being pushed by Southern and Marquette barely getting by Davidson, thanks to a last-second layup by Vander Blue. On the other side of the equation, teams like Louisville, Syracuse, Michigan, VCU and Arizona, big favorites to begin with, didn’t really have any trouble with their opponents. More
NCAA Tournament Upsets in Second Round
Posted on 22 Mar, 2013, by Morgan in BasketballFour upsets, meaning lower seeds being higher ranked teams, occurred on the opening day of the real NCAA tournament, as Harvard pulled off the biggest one with a win over New Mexico, followed by California upsetting UNLV, Wichita State destroying rather easily the Pittsburgh Panthers while Oregon beating Oklahoma State was a shocker considering the seeding, but most people weren’t that surprised. March Madness Coffee Break Planner

By the time you read this, the lineup of Thursday games will probably be over, with at least one number 1 seed, Gonzaga, showing everyone how tough it’s going to be, barely beating Southern.
