Week 2 of the college football season was supposed to simple: Only two real threats of upsetting ranked teams, and plenty of easy games for the rest. The NFL Preseason began its second week of action, with the best starting quarterback performance belonging to Robert Griffin III, despite the Cleveland Browns losing to the Atlanta Falcons, throwing two touchdown passes, one of them to Terrelle Pryor. Jimmy Garoppolo looked good in a New England Patriots win, mostly against the lesser defense, and Russell Wilson looked surprisingly rusy in a Seattle Seahawks loss. More

In the season’s second edition of the Power Rankings, the top doesn’t seem different: New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers as the likely Super Bowl teams, with the Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals posing the biggest threats, although if the Dallas Cowboys survive their injury scare, they should be counted in too. The bottom is filled with new names, with the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears making it difficult to choose who is worse. More

2015 College Football Season – Week 2 Rankings

Posted on 14 Sep, 2015, by in College Football

The top 3 remains unchanged following week 2 as Ohio State, Alabama and TCU cruise against weak teams. Michigan State make a small but meaningful jump after beating Oregon, who along with Auburn took the big plummets of the week, as the Tigers struggling against an FCS team costs them 12 spots. BYU, Oklahoma State and Northwestern make their first appearances in the top 25 this season, filling in for three SEC teams that dropped out: Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi State. More
