It was one of those nights that Laker fans hate to see and Kobe haters love. No one on the Lakers seemed to show up with any energy for this game, quite like game 4. Kobe gets mad and tries to win the game by himself while frowning and making mad faces at teammates. Will this have any affect on game 7? Hard to say, cause it’s not like it’s news for the Laker players.

The Houston Rockets came out firing, starting with a 17-1 run and finished firing, outscoring the Lakers 19-11 in the final 9:35. They’ve surprised many with their play last night, going small ball or Nellie ball or whatever you want to call it, lead by Aaron Brooks with 26 points and Luis Scola with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Ron Artest scored 14 in another bad shooting night, while Carl Landry scored 15 off the bench including one monster dunk through traffic.

The Lakers just looked bad, defensively and offensively, lacked energy and effort. Except for Kobe who scored 32 points (11-27 from the field, not great), everyone else underperformed to say the least. Gasol had 14 points and Farmar scored 13 off the bench, but Andrew Bynum scored 0, and he looks to be getting worst as the playoff progresses. Derek Fisher scored only 2 points, Lamar Odom only 8. Bad night for the Lakers who’ll probably show up more energized for game 7, but future champs don’t, can’t look like this.
