Lamar Jackson Writes History Against LA Rams

Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson, were ruthless towards the Los Angeles Rams tonight. The guests handed them one of the toughest losses ever at the Coliseum, trashing the reigning NFC champions with 45-6.

Jackson’s Five TDs

It was a one-sided beating in which Jackson took the leading role, throwing for five touchdowns. It is pretty safe to say that his debut on national television was more than memorable. The sophomore rookie became the first-ever player to throw five TDs on MNF. After tonight’s event, he became the youngest player in history with two or more five TDs games.

And when looking at his stats, you won’t notice anything special other than that. LJ threw for 169 yards, 15 of 20, and rushed for 95 of eight carries in 14 minutes 43 seconds on the field. But each of his plays was clinical.

Two of his touchdowns came in the first period, when he hit Marquise Brown twice, once for a 6-yard and the other time for an 18-yard toss. He would add another one 12 seconds before the break, a 7-yarder for Willie Snead’s first of the night. Following that, his target was Mark Ingram, and then again, Snead seven seconds into the last.

Right now, he is not only tied with Russell Wilson as the No.1 on the touchdown passes list, but is the biggest favorite to take the MVP title.

Ravens Continue to Pound

His Baltimore Ravens won the 9th game this season and are leading AFC North. They are one step behind the 10-1 Patriots, whose only defeat is against John Harbaugh’s boys. At the moment, they are pretty safe at the No.2 seed, but the goal for the Ravens is to jump over the Pats and clinch the home-field advantage. According to many experts, whoever wins between these two sides, will have colossal chances of taking the Super Bowl.

Up next, Baltimore has one tough task. They will be hosting the NFC leaders, San Francisco 49ers. Jimmy Garoppolo and the boys are looking unstoppable and will present a massive job for Jackson and the guys.

After that, they head for Buffalo to meet the Bills, and close the season against the New York Jets at home.
