After the great drama and controversy against Egypt in the first game, Brazil’s 3-0 win over the United States was almost disappointingly easy. From the first minute it didn’t look like the American side would get something out of this game, and after 6 minutes the Brazilian side were up 1-0 with Felipe Melo heading in a free kick cross from Maicon.
A fantastic counter attack that started with Kaka, went on through Ramires and ended with Robinho scoring made it 2-0 in the 19th minute.
The US lost Sacha Kljestan to a controversial red card in the 56th minute, leaving the US with 10 players and no chance. Maicon, the game’s man of the match capped things off 5 minutes later with Brazil’s third goal.
