Manchester United have completed the signing of Wigan’s Ecuadorian winger, Antonio Valencia. The fee for the player is thought to be around 16 million pounds.

“Joining Manchester United is a dream come true for me.I have enjoyed my time at Wigan, but I am thrilled to have the chance to challenge for the biggest honours in club football here.” Valencia said on the club’s official website. Alex Ferguson has been following the 23 year old for around a year, and although he doesn’t expect him to copy Cristiano Ronaldo’s scoring record, he does hope Valencia can add with his pace and passing ability in Manchester United’s attempt to become the first club in England to win 19 league titles.

Valencia played 78 league games for Wigan in three seasons, scoring 7 goals.team
