Former California Quarterback Sets Paper Airplane Record


Joe Ayoob was never really a College Football star. A few starts here and there for the California Golden Bears after a stellar Junior College tenure in San Francisco, winning a national championship. After going undrafted in the NFL, he turned to Arena Football League.

But not becoming a professional quarterback at the highest level doesn’t mean Ayoob can’t break records, even putting his name in the Guinness Book of Records when it’ll be confirmed. Record distance for throwing a paper airplane. Yes, that record exists, and Ayoob shattered it, using his QB skills, at least a bit.

Using a John Collins design, Ayoob “flew” the paper jet 226 feet and 10 inches, breaking the record by more than 19 feet. In meters, it’s 69.14.
