LeBron James should have been a four time MVP, but the trend was against him last season and Derrick Rose got the benefit of the doubt. Like him or love him; Clutch or not clutch, James is the best and most talented player in the NBA, and led all players in voting for the All-NBA team as well.

With him on the All-NBA first team is Kobe Bryant, still doing it after 16 years in the NBA; Chris Paul, playing the best basketball of his career; Dwight Howard, despite tearing a franchise apart; And Kevin Durant, who led the league in scoring, as always.

LeBron James, Miami Heat

Currently looking to end his run on the list of MVP players without an NBA title. On his second season with the Miami Heat he’s back to the status of best player in the NBA, winning his third MVP award in the last four season. He also made his 8th All-Star game, earning his sixth selection to the All-NBA first team. He averaged 27.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists during the regular season.

Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers

For the second straight season, Bryant left the playoffs in the Conference Semi Finals, with the Lakers heading into a very interesting summer that might get us to see one or more big name players moved and shipped somewhere else. Bryant won his 10th All-NBA first team selection, tying for second all time, one behind Karl Malone. He averaged 27.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists during the regular season.

Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder

For the third straight season, Durant won the NBA’s scoring title, while continuing to improve as a player and as the leader of arguably the best team in the NBA, the Oklahoma City Thunder. It’s Durant’s third consecutive All-NBA first team selection, after averaging 28 points and 8 rebounds (career high) during the regular season.

 Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers

How was Paul’s debut season with the Clippers? He turned them into the best team in Los Angeles in the eyes of many, and maybe even deserved the MVP according to some. He averaged 19.8 points, 9.1 assists and a league high 2.5 steals per game. It’s his second appearance on the All-NBA first team.

Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic

Extra, Extra, read all about it – Dwight Howard will be traded, almost a year too late. That’s the news coming out of Orlando, who released Otis Smith and Stan Van Gundy, have decided to completely rehash the team and also trade Dwight Howard, starting to take calls after the draft lottery. He averaged 20.6 points and 14.5 rebounds per game, making the first team for a fifth consecutive time.
