A first half that looked like Barcelona of last year, and it looked like last year’s Camp Nou meeting between Barcelona and Atletico. Eventually, it ended 5-2, for Barca of course. Barcelona led 4-0 after 42 minutes, and Sergio Aguero made it 4-1 just before the break came. The second half? Barcelona took it down a notch, or maybe two or three and just put it on cruise control. Atletico scored another one, to make the score look respectable. And then came Lionel Messi with the fifth one, to remind everyone there wasn’t a real contest in the Camp Nou tonight. But anyone who saw the game knows, that Atletico are a very flawed and troubled team, with a horrible defense. Barcelona? They can be more consistent, but a game like this shows how much the La Liga is distant from Real Madrid and Barcelona.
