Sevilla gave hope to the Spanish League, and sent a message to Real Madrid and also Barcelona, that this isn’t the Scottish Premier League and it’s not going to be a two horse race, hopefully. Sevilla outplayed a Ronaldo-less Real Madrid who didn’t look good throughout the match and if it wasn’t for Iker Casillas’ heroics, the game could’ve ended with a much more impressive scoreline.
Barcelona now lead the league alone, 3 points clear from Madrid, and Real’s perfect start to the season has ended. It’ll be an exaggeration to say that Real aren’t good without Ronaldo, but they’re certainly vulnerable without him.
