After an impressive midweek victory over Atletico Madrid, Chelsea continue their impressive scoring run, and give Blackburn another sad London visit (6-2 defeat to Arsenal three weeks ago) and depressing ride home. More good news – their back on top of the league, at least until tomorrow, when Manchester United visit Liverpool at Anfield.

Chelsea didn’t have it so easy in the first half, and only Givet’s own goal gave them a lead over Blackburn, who weren’t really risking Chelsea’s goal but defended very well along with Paul Robinson’s heroics at goal. The second half? Rovers’ defense collapsed, and the goals started coming – Frank Lampard with a double, his first league goal since August, Essien with a missile from way way out and Drogba to finish things off. Chelsea rebound back into form very quickly after their loss to Villa last week, and seem to be clicking and going ahead full steam.

Gael Givet (own goal), 20th minute

Frank Lampard, 48th minute

Michael Essien, 52nd minute

Frank Lampard, 59th minute

Didier Drogba, 64th minute
