Thanks to Texas A&M, the AP Top 25 of week 11 is a little less complicated, as Alabama lose for the first time this season and drop to fourth, while Oregon take over the number one spot in the nation, followed by Kansas State and Notre Dame, gathering tough wins to keep them undefeated and on course for a national title game.

1. Oregon Ducks, 10-0 (45 First place votes) – Just did what they’ve been doing all season: Score a lot of points, beating California 59-17 with Marcus Mariota throwing six touchdown passes, helping the Ducks climb to the top spot.

2. Kansas State Wildcats, 10-0 (14) – Collin Klein did get to play and the Wildcats rallied behind their potential Heisman quarterback, beating TCU 23-10 and moving up a spot.

3. Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 10-0 (1) – Impressive? Not their offense, but that’s been the story all season. Easy win against Boston College, 21-6, moving them up a spot in the poll.

4. Alabama Crimson Tide, 9-1 – Weren’t expected to fall too far, as the loss to Texas A&M (29-24) takes them, at the moment, out of the running, dropping three spots in the poll and losing all 60 first place votes.

5. Georgia Bulldogs, 9-1 – Clinched their spot in the SEC championship game with a win in the South’s oldest rivalry game, that didn’t look like a big deal at all, beating Auburn 38-0 and staying at 5.

6. Ohio State Buckeyes, 10-0 – Didn’t play, fell a spot.

7. Florida Gators, 9-1 – Another less than impressive offensive performance, this time against Lousiana Lafayette, winning 27-20, didn’t move the Gators anywhere this week.

8. LSU Tigers, 8-2 – The highest ranked two-loss team had no problem handling Mississippi State with a 37-17 win, moving up a spot in the standings.

9. Texas A&M Aggies, 8-2 – Climbed six spots after one of the biggest upsets of the season and undoubtedly one of the program’s biggest wins in a very long time, taking down Alabama 29-24.

10. Florida State Seimnoles, 9-1 – Were on the verge of a disastrous loss to Virginia Tech before pulling a last minute touchdown, taking them to 28-22 but dropping two spots in the rankings.

11. Clemson Tigers, 9-1 – Continued their home dominance (12th win in a row) with a 45-10 win over lowly Maryland, falling a spot.

12. South Carolina Gamecocks, 8-2 – A big day from Connor Shaw helped SC pull through against Arkansas, staying put in the rankings.

13. Oklahoma Sooners, 7-2 – Climbed a single place after a less than impressive 42-34 win over Baylor.

14. Stanford Cardinal, 8-2 – Won a big, tough battle against Oregon State, beating the Beavers 27-23 and climbing two spots.

15. Oregon State Beavers, 7-2 – Lost to Stanford 27-23, ruining a lot of big hopes, and falling two spots in the poll.

16. Nebraska Cornhuskers, 8-2 – Climbed two spots after Taylor Martinez (who else) led them to another conference win, beating Penn State 32-23.

17. UCLA Bruins, 8-2 – The streak continues for the Bruins, who might end up in the Conference champions game after a win over Washington State, 44-36, staying where they were last week.

18. Texas Longhorns, 8-2 – Climbed a spot after an impressive game from David Ash and a 33-7 win over Iowa State.

19. Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, 9-1 – Stayed where they were last week after a 62-55 win over Texas State.

20. Louisville Cardinals, 9-1 – Cardinals fell nine spots after their hopes & dreams of a perfect season came crashing down, losing at Syracuse 45-26.

21. USC Trojans, 7-3 – The highest ranked three loss team, staying put at #21 after a 38-17 win over Arizona State.

22. Rutgers Scarlet Knights, 8-1 – The fate of the Big East now falls to the game of Rutgers and Lousiville, with Rutgers climbing two spots thanks to their 28-7 win over Army.

23. Michigan Wolverines, 7-3 – Back in the rankings after an overtime 38-31 win over Northwestern.

24. Texas Tech Red Raiders, 7-3 – Climbed two spots after a double overtime win against Kansas, 41-34.

25. Kent State Golden Flashes, 9-1 – The next MAC team to make a special appearance in the rankings, following their 48-32 win against Miami (OH).
