After the hammering Wolves got against Arsenal in their last league game, Wolves hoped that a visit to Stamford Bridge would have a happier end. Chelsea didn’t really care about Wolves’ wished, and punished the poor visitors from the midland four times, with Michael Essien scoring two. The win keeps Chelsea perfect this season at home in league play and gives them an 8 point advantage over Manchester United, with United beginning their match against Everton shortly. Arsenal’s troubles at Sunderland gave more reasons to smile for the Blues.
