Among the four future hall of fame players – Wes Welker from the New England Patriots, Ed Reed from the Baltimore Ravens, Randy Moss from the San Francisco 49ers and Tony Gonzalez from the Atlanta Falcons, one will emerge from the NFL Playoffs as a Super Bowl champions for the first time.

Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons

About to end his 16th NFL season, Tony Gonzalez finally won a playoff game. It took him three losses with the Kansas City Chiefs and two more with the Atlanta Falcons before finally getting an emotional ending to his first postseason win. A 13-time Pro Bowler and 10-time All Pro, Gonzalez hold pretty much every possible record for tight ends, finishing the regular season with 93 catches for 930 yards and 8 touchdowns, surpassing the 100 mark in his career.

Wes Welker – If history repeats itself, Wes Welker is going to his third Super Bowl. Since joining the New England Patriots in 2007, he’s been to two Conference title games, winning them both, combining for 13 catches, 109 yards and a touchdown. In the Super Bowl, he’s lost twice to the same team, and has yet to score in the biggest game of all despite catching 18 passes for 163 yards.

Welker, who has led the NFL in receptions three times, is a five time Pro-Bowl selection and a four time All-Pro member. He caught 118 passes this season, gaining 1354 yards and scoring six touchdowns.

Ed Reed – Reed has been with the Ravens his entire career, playing for 11 seasons, making the playoffs seven times, currently with a 7-6 postseason record, including winning at least one game for five consecutive seasons. This will be his third time in the AFC championship game, losing on the two previous occasions to the Steelers (2008) and the Patriots (2011).

With 13 career touchdowns, he’s fifth on the all-time list of players with non-offensive touchdowns. He has been a Pro Bowl selection nine times and an All-Pro selection eight times.

Randy Moss – Moss isn’t used too much by the 49ers in his out-of-retirement season, but did get to catch two passes for 25 yards in the win against the Green Bay Packers. At 35, he’s playing in the postseason with his third team, making it in to the playoffs four times with the Minnesota Vikings and twice with the New England Patriots.

Moss has been to the conference championship game three times (twice with the Vikings), and has a total of nine receptions, 111 yards and a touchdown in these games. He made the Super Bowl once, losing with the Patriots to the Giants, catching five passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.
