NFL Rumors – Buffalo Bills Interested in Karlos Dansby

Karlos Dansby Dolphins

For some linebackers in this league, it’s been about seizing the opportunity before someone else grabs it. Karlos Dansby has been a step too slow so far, missing out on a couple of teams, which moves him on to his next visit, possibly keeping him in the AFC East and eventually playing against his former team, the Miami Dolphins, if he and the Buffalo Bills come to terms.

Dansby, 31, has spent the last three seasons with the Dolphins after six with the Arizona Cardinals. While not a pro-bowl caliber player, he is quite useful in his ability to play as a middle linebacker and in more of a pass rushing facility, although stopping the run and doing things that don’t require too much speed are his stronger qualities.

Dansby was nominated to sign for the Cincinnati Bengals, but they preferred getting James Harrison. Another AFC North team, in need of a middle linebacker, decided to go with the troubled Rolando McClain instead, although after his recent arrest, there might be a job opening for the Super Bowl champions once again.

For now, Dansby, who recorded 1 sack and 101 solo tackles last season, it’s off to the state of New York and the Buffalo Bills, who need quite a lot of help in finding some players to stop the run after spending a lot of money on the defensive line and pass-rushers over the last couple of seasons.

With the news of Dansby on his way over, this might mean the Bills aren’t too pleased with two-year veteran Kelvin Sheppard, recording two sacks and 53 tackles for the team last season in 15 starts.
