NBA Summer League – Mason Plumlee Dunking On Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

While the NBA summer league isn’t usually the best predictor of actual NBA success, it does provide a little insight on rookies and other less than settled players, with Mason Plumlee impressing on his debut for the Brooklyn Nets, which included dunking on Kentavious Caldwell-Pope of the Detroit Pistons.

Plumlee ran the floor and surprised everyone with a spin move into the paint, which Caldwell-Pope tried to block, but eventually all he did was land in the poster motion as Plumlee had no problem dunking over him.

The Pistons ended up winning the game 76-67 with Andre Drummond bringing in a strong performance of 12 points and 16 rebounds, while Caldwell-Pope did terribly, scoring only 4 points on 1-of-10 from the field, including 0-of-8 from beyond the arc.

Plumlee did better, finishing with a double-double of 10 points and 14 rebounds, in a promising start to the Orlando Summer League.
