Justice prevailed as Cardiff, playing better than Manchester United, got a 91st minute goal and an equalizer in a 2-2 draw, despite the best efforts from referee Neil Swarbrick to make it an uneven contest in favor of the visitors, showcased at its fullest when he only booked Wayne Rooney for deliberately kicking Jordon Mutch early in the game.

Why wasn’t it a sending off? Hard to explain. Rooney was running toe to toe with Mutch, and at some point felt he’s tired of being challenged. He didn’t trip or shove the Cardiff player – he kicked him, sending him tumbling down. Mutch did book him, but it should have been an automatic red.

Is David Moyes finding the famous groove and bond a Manchester United manager and referees usually have? He’s not Alex Ferguson yet, as shown by the dropped points in final minutes of matches, drifting 7 points apart from Arsenal. But he did get quite the performance from Neil Swarbrick, who was quite lenient on almost everything Manchester United did, allowing Cleverley an entire match of clipping and fouls before booking him, while being quite harsh with Cardiff players on every slight touch against a United player. Antonio Valencia elbowed a player in the face, but a whistle for a foul was the most Swarbrick could muster.

Wayne Rooney scored the opening goal only to be countered by Frazier Campbell in a brilliant performance. Patrice Evra gave United the lead just before half time, but an awful second half from the champions eventually allowed Bo-Kyung Kim to score the equalizer in injury time.
