News can also come in the form of something that won’t happen, like Tom Brady of the New England Patriots saying he has no intention of watching the Super Bowl this year, and hints at not watching any of the past ones because he wasn’t in them.

Brady is a fierce competitor and someone who finds losing hard to cope with, so making it to the conference finals for a second straight season and falling short of the mark, this time losing to the Denver Broncos 26-16, means the end of the football season for him. Not just playing in a game (he won’t be in the Pro Bowl) but also watching. It’s just too hard for him so close to a tough loss, as he revealed while speaking to the Boston Herald.

I don’t have much of a rooting interest, truthfully. Those games are hard to watch. I don’t see myself sitting down to enjoy a football game or watch it. Our season is over. Truthfully, I could care less about watching a game. That’s pretty much how I feel.

Brady didn’t throw any interceptions, but he did have a bad first half with a few overthrown passes that might have completely changed the game. A few came in the second half as well as the Patriots were making their comeback, but it wasn’t enough to really pressure the Broncos into making mistakes, or to stop scoring on their drives.

That’s one I think about that could certainly impact the outcome of the game from my standpoint. I need to hit that throw. That’s a throw that I’m capable of and I make 9 out of 10 times and I didn’t make it yesterday. When you get in games like this and the margin of error is slim, you’ve got to make those plays and I didn’t make it.

Brady was voted as the least liked quarterback in the NFL – probably a combination of being successful, having a supermodel for a wife and his behavior at times on the field, even though he tries to make himself seem like a much more good sport in both winning and losing than he actually is.
