NFL Rumors – Denver Broncos Have Bigger Plans for Cody Latimer

Cody Latimer

In 2014, Cody Latimer was a barely used rookie wide receiver. In 2015, the Denver Broncos plan to make him their number three wide receiver.

Latimer, with just two receptions in 2014, is probably going to take the place of Wes Welker which means a lot more opportunities to catch throws from Peyton Manning.

Many were impressed with what he had shown in practice last season, but it was very difficult breaking through the quite full list of receivers on display for the Broncos.

This season, going to camp with Eli and Peyton Manning suggests he’s not settling for the compliments, but planning on taking a leap forward and start establishing his NFL career.

It’s my first time there, so it should be fun. I know we’re going to be working, studying, probably watching film and running routes. It’s a good connection. It’s an early head start, in other words, to something that should be great. So that’s what I’m looking forward to, getting our timing connection and probably learning off of him and maybe learning something of the offense and things like that.

Latimer was the second round pick by the Broncos last season. He played three seasons for Indiana. He caught 72 passes for 1096 yards and 9 touchdowns last season for the Hoosiers on his Junior season.
