The Australian tour continues for Liverpool with another win, this time against Adelaide United, beating their hosts 2-0 with second half goals from James Milner and Danny Ings.
It was a poor half for both sides, but even without changes made (most of Liverpool’s substitutions came after the first goal), the team picked up the pace and started creating more chance and attacking with more speed down the middle and through the flanks.
The first goal from Milner was after a nice pass from the right wing by Jordon Ibe, as the Adelaide defense was confused by the movement of Adam Lallana, allowing his midfield partner to slip through the middle of the penalty box and score the goal.
Nathaniel Clyne set up the second goal just before the whistle, easily and comfortable leading the counter attack and picked up the movement of Ings, who easily put it past Galekovic, not having any trouble with the central defense.
