There’s plenty of interesting things on the NBA’s Christmas day schedules. One of them is the unique jersey design. This year, we’ll get to see it on the New Orleans Pelicans, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers players.
New Orleans Pelicans vs Miami Heat
If Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade are healthy, and if the Pelicans are doing as good or better than last season under Alvin Gentry and maybe even a 3-point shooting Anthony Davis, this should be a really good one.
Chicago Bulls vs Oklahoma City Thunder
Derrick Rose vs Russell Westbrook? Kevin Durant in general? Two teams with a lot of recent injury woes can put together quite a show. Lets hope it happens.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Golden State Warriors
What’s there to explain? The two finalists from 2014. LeBron James and MVP Stephen Curry, plus other stars. Obviously, this is the centerpiece of the Christmas schedule.
San Antonio Spurs vs Houston Rockets
The Spurs have had a lot of problems with the Rockets in recent seasons, although we still haven’t seen a playoff meeting between the two. Once again, they should the best teams in the division and the state of Texas (sorry Mavs).
Los Angeles Clippers vs Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles derby has been quite one sided in recent years. While the Lakers aren’t expected to challenge for a title or even a place in the playoffs, being competitive for this one night, with a healthy Kobe Bryant for the sake of fans who love watching him play, should make it a nice digestif to the day.
