NFL Rumors – Buffalo Bills Now Dealing With Injuries to Both LeSean McCoy & Percy Harvin

LeSean McCoy

The quarterback issue is a mess, Percy Harvin can’t shake off his hip injury and now LeSean McCoy is hurt in practice, which could mean big problems for the team that simply can’t catch a break.

The 27-year old running back, arriving in Buffalo this year after being traded from the Philadelphia Eagles, strained his hamstring. There’s no tear or separation from the bone, which is good news, but strains can be more than just a week or two out. The Bills are simply hoping this isn’t something that rolls into the regular season, which begins on September 13 for them.

It’s not like the Bills are overflowing at the running back position. They were already missing Fred Jackson (hamstring), Boobie Dixon (calf), Bryce Brown (hamstring) and Karlos Williams (hospitalized) from the practice session. They really can’t afford to get more bad news in general, but more than anything in this position, which should be so important to them in 2015.

Harvin is going to be out for at least one more week with some hip pain. He’s been out of commission since last week, and the projection right now is for him to return to their August 29 preseason game, the third and usually the one regarded as the most important and serious on the preseason schedule. Harvin, like McCoy, is heading into his first season with the Bills.
