Finding himself without a team following the New England Patriots releasing him, Jonas Gray might end up playing for the Tennessee Titans eventually in the 2015 NFL season.
Gray will be hosted by the Titans as we’re getting awfully close to the beginning of the regular season. The Titans aren’t exactly overflowing with talent and experience at running back, currently posting Bishop Sankey as their #1 guy on the depth chart, followed by Dexter McCluster.
Gray did have one big game last season with 201 yards against the Indianapolis Colts, scoring a franchise-record four touchdowns for the Patriots, but that was pretty much it for him last season. He finished with a total of 412 yards and 5 touchdowns, getting a few touches in the playoff win over the Colts and that was it for him.
Gray was part of the Miami Dolphins and the Baltimore Ravens’ squads in 2012 and 2013 but didn’t get to play following going undrafted in 2012. He didn’t play much as an amateur as well except for senior season at Notre Dame, rushing for 791 yards on 114 carries (6.9 avg) while scoring 12 touchdowns, although he tore his ACL before the season ended, “helping” him go undrafted.
