This is turning out to be another lost season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but their receivers duo of Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns is doing something worth noting, leading the NFL in yards per catch.

The Jaguars are 2-6, which in the AFC South isn’t too far away from the stop spot in the division. However, it’s more likely they’ll end up having another battle for the last spot and a higher draft pick with the Tennessee Titans, something that’s been going on for quite some time with an inability to change it.

While Blake Bortles is disappointing in his development and ability to produce consistently so the Jaguars can follow him, it’s hard to complain about the targets he has. Robinson and Hurns have caught 76 of his 175 completions for 1342 yards out of 2193. They make up just under 50% of the team’s entire offense. They’re averaging 17.7 (Robinson) and 17.6 (Hurns) yards per catch this season, #1 and #2 in the league so far. In the 28-23 loss to the Jets, both of them finished with over 100 receiving yards and might be two of the few pieces the Jaguars can feel good about heading into the unknown, bleak future.
