The series nobody wanted to end did end last night, with the Boston Celtics beating the Chicago Bulls in Boston 109-99. The Celtics had a 22-2 run in the second quarter that turned the game around for them, and the Bulls had to chase them for the rest of the game. Ben Gordon scored 33, Derrick Rose and Kirk Hinrich combined for 34 but that was pretty much it for the Bulls on a night in which the C’s had 5 players in double figures, led by Ray Allen’s 23.

Despite the loss, the Bulls probably feel good with the team they have looking ahead at the next season, and the main reason is Derrick Rose. The Rookie of the year averaged 19.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game and even had 5 blocks during the series. 2 Nights ago it prevented the Celtics from stealing the win away from the Bulls, last night it was only enough to be the highlight of the game. But what a block on Scalabrine!!
