A 1-1 draw between Manchester United and Leicester is mostly helpful to Manchester City in the tight top of the table in the English Premier League, but Jamie Vardy scoring for the 11th consecutive league match is probably the most noteworthy moment from this match.
Because once again, the Louis van Gaal Manchester United seemed to bore everyone to death. Bastian Schweinsteiger did score off a corner kick before half time to equalize, but it was another match of slow ball movement and very few chances, as more and more people wonder why is Wayne Rooney still in the lineup.
Leicester played with spurts of enthusiasm, including in the closing minutes, when Leonardo Ulloa had a fantastic one on one chance he wasted a way with a poor shot that was stopped by David de Gea. It wasn’t enough to carry on with their absolutely crazy momentum, but an ambitious club doesn’t necessarily get greedy, and probably aren’t too disappointed with a draw that keeps them with the rest of the group (might be joined by Arsenal as well) at the top of the table.
