Championship week will determine who makes the college football playoff, as Clemson win the ACC, Alabama the SEC, Michigan State in the Big Ten and Stanford in the Pac-12, while Oklahoma, Big 12 champions with a title game, are hoping not to get dropped at the last moment.

#10 North Carolina (11-2) 37  #1 Clemson (13-0) 45: The ACC officials were at it again, in a momentum changing decision that more than helped Clemson win the ACC title. Calling offside on the Tar Heels after they recovered an onside kick ended the game. The Tar Heels tried another onside kick but couldn’t recover the ball, leaving Clemson just over a minute to stay comfortable in their 8 point lead. Deshaun Watson threw three touchdown passes and ran for two more in a Heisman worthy performance.

#18 Florida (10-3) 15  #2 Alabama (12-1) 29: The Crimson Tide needed some time to get going, falling 7-2 behind, but the Florida offense crashed and burned, with just 15 rushing yards, 180 overall and only 7 points from their offense. Derrick Henry ran for 189 yards with one touchdown, setting a new SEC record with 1986 rushing yards in a season, while tying the touchdown mark (23).

#5 Michigan State (12-1) 16  #4 Iowa (12-1) 13: The best game of the night had Iowa on the verge of winning and going to the playoff, but an endless drive by the Spartans resulted in L.T. Scott finally breaking the goal line defense with a spin to score the game winning touchdowns with just seconds left on the clock, giving the Spartans the Big Ten title.

#20 USC (8-5) 22  #7 Stanford (11-2) 41: Christian McCaffrey made his Heisman bid noticed with 207 yards and 32 touchdowns, catching one pass for a TD and throwing one as well, just like quarterback Kevin Hogan did on all three phases. USC had a 16-13 lead with 5:28 left in the third quarter but completely collapsed in the final 20 minutes of the game on boths sides of the ball as The Cardinal are now hoping this puts them in the playoffs.

Texas (5-7) 23  #12 Baylor (9-3) 17: The Bears have manhandles Texas in recent years, but the Longhorns made the most of their opportunity to finish the season with a good feeling, probably ending Baylor’s chance of making the Sugar bowl, as Tyrone Swoopes threw one touchdown pass and ran for another, while 395 rushing yards weren’t enough for Baylor to cancel out their four turnovers.

#22 Temple (10-3) 13  #19 Houston (12-1) 24: A big day for Houston to win the American Conference title with quarterback Greg Ward running for two touchdowns and Javin Webb adding another, which means a big bowl for the Cougars, something they haven’t been involved with in over 20 years.

Five teams looking to fill four playoff spots. Have Stanford done enough to jump Oklahoma? The Sooners have just one loss and don’t share the Big 12 championship with anyone, finishing the season with wins against TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma State. Michigan State should be in (unless Stanford jump them?) thanks to a win against Iowa. Clemson and Alabama don’t have to worry, and Alabama might get the #1 seed.
