At 35, after about a million injuries, the former Manchester United club captain, Gary Neville, has called it quits. The most capped right back in the history of the English national team (85 caps), playing in three Euro’s and two World Cups hasn’t played for United since New Year’s and managed only three games this season. His fitness and ability haven’t been what they used to be in quite some time, and it’s hard, especially for a player who has won practically everything at club level, with 8 Premier League titles, 3 FA Cups and two Champions League titles (did not play in the 2008 final).

Neville has exactly 400 Premiership matches behind him, 19th all time in the Premier League, making his league debut way back during the 1993-1994 season. In all competitions he has 602 appearances and 7 goals, beginning his pro career debut in 1992, playing a UEFA cup match against Torpedo Moscow. He never played for any club other than Manchester United.
