In a closer title race than expected with Aberdeen, Celtic might finally get the momentum push they need to finish things off thanks to a 90th minute goal by Tom Rogic in a hard-earned 1-0 away win over Kilmarnock.
The Australian midfielder rocketed a shot with his left foot from almost 30 meters out to beat Jamie MacDonald, who isn’t really at fault for conceding the goal, but reacting a bit quicker to the shot that picked up acceleration as it swerved towards him, but perhaps could have done a little bit better for the club that’s in quite a lot of trouble at the lower parts of the Scottish Premier League table.
It’s the 7th goal this season for the 23-year old Aussie, who is also a 13-time international for the Socceroos. Signed by Celtics in 2012, he’s barely played for them until this season. He’s well on his way to becoming quite a steal after he was signed by them from Central Coast Mariners for less than £500,000.
Celtic now have a four point lead over Aberdeen with both teams having played 30 matches. Winning the championship will mark their fifth in a row and 47th ever, putting them seven behind Rangers, who are coming back to the Premier League next season.
