2014 World Cup – Day 11 Results & Table
A day that started badly but day 11 in the 2014 World Cup will be remembered for plenty of excellent football. Belgium beat Russia with a late goal to clinch a spot in the round of 16 while Algeria stunned everyone with four goals in a dominant win over South Korea to completely change Group H. The second batch of group stage matches was concluded with the dramatic 2-2 draw between the United States and Portugal, almost knocking Cristiano Ronaldo out of the World Cup.

2014 World Cup – Germany & Ghana Give Us the Best Match so Far
From a Ghana team that simply outplayed many’s favorite to win the tournament, to Miroslav Klose saving Germany and becoming the joint all-time top scorer of the World Cup and Thomas Muller finishing the match on his back with blood covering his face, the 2-2 draw was the best match we’ve seen in this tournament so far.

2014 World Cup – Day 10 Results & Table
Not a day filled with goals, but some great moments and a lot of good football. Argentina beat Iran to put themselves in the next stage thanks to Lionel Messi. Nigeria might join them thanks to a victory over Bosnia, coming through referee mistakes in their favor. Germany and Ghana presented the best match of the tournament which ended in a draw, as Miroslav Klose equaled Ronaldo at the top of the all-time scoring charts in the World Cup.

2014 World Cup – Day 10 Predictions (Germany vs Ghana, Argentina vs Iran, Nigeria vs Bosnia)
A very interesting day in Groups F and G, as Argentina have a very good chance of seeing themselves in the next stage facing a weak Iran team, Germany are in the same situation against a desperate Ghana side while Nigeria and Bosnia will also be looking for their first wins in the tournament.

Match Highlights – Ghana vs United States
The USA are off to a great start, something they’re not used to in World Cups, beating Ghana 2-1 thanks to goals from Clint Dempsey and the winner by John Brooks, giving them a great advantage heading into their next to matches in Group G against the stronger European sides. Ghana might have been the better team for most of the match, but that one goal from Andre Ayew wasn’t enough.

Match Highlights – Germany vs Portugal
It seems to be that the biggest matches also give us the most one sided outcomes in this tournament so far, as Germany demolish Portugal 4-0 with Thomas Muller scoring the first hat trick of the World Cup and the Portuguese side finishing with only 10 men after Pepe was sent off for another stupid reaction from the centre back.

2014 World Cup – Day 5 Predictions (Germany vs Portugal, Ghana vs United States, Iran vs Nigeria)
The fifth day of the 2014 World Cup brings us one of its biggest matches as Germany and Portugal go head to head in a battle for Group G supremacy, followed by Ghana and the United States completing the picture in that group, while residue from Group F – Iran playing against Nigeria, also takes place.
-
World Cup – Group G Predictions
It seems that Group G is another sort of ‘group of death’, which means people see more than two teams that can qualify. Obviously, the big favorites are Germany and Portugal, although it won’t be too much of a shock to see either Ghana or the United States slip past A Selecção.

2010 World Cup Diary – Day 15
Two weeks from the day we started, and we got us our last 16, with Brazil and Portugal boring us (and getting booed) in a 0-0 draw, while the Ivory Coast got their one win, just like in 2006, that doesn’t mean anything, joining North Korea (if no one defects) on the trip home. Meanwhile, in Group H, Spain avoided the meet with Brazil, getting Portugal instead, beating Chile 2-1 while trying to make us fall asleep in the final 20 minutes. Switzerland couldn’t get lucky like they did in the opening match vs Spain and were held to a 0-0 draw with Honduras, who got their first points in the tournament, but leave South Africa without scoring any goals.
