Best Sport Photos of 2012
What was 2012 like? Each Olympic year is dominated by that summer event, more than anything else. Yes, we had the New York Giants winning the Super Bowl, LeBron James winning his first NBA title while Chelsea made history in the Champions League and Sergio Aguero made his own history in the Premiership. Still, this was the year of the Olympic games in London.

Usain Bolt – The Manchester United Debut Getting Closer
If Alex Ferguson says that he’s planning on giving Usain Bolt a chance to play for Manchester United, you better believe it’s going to happen and the wheels are already in motion. No, not this season, and no plans for a contract at the moment, but even a charity match is a good starting point.

The 25 best photos from 302 events in 26 sports spread over 19 days of competition don’t show all 10,500 (more or less) athletes that played a part in the 2012 Olympic games in London, but the two big winners on the track (Usain Bolt) and in the pool (Michael Phelps) remained the same from four years ago.

Usain Bolt: Cristiano Ronaldo is Better Than Lionel Messi
Sprinting is an absolute sport. The fastest runner on the day is the winner. The Olympic champion and the world record is the fastest man on earth. Usain Bolt is that man. In football, it’s a bit more complicated, and a bit more subjective. Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi? That’s an eternal debate, with no absolute and one definitive answer. But the three time gold medal winner has a clear opinion.

Usain Bolt – Greater Athlete than Carl Lewis
Athletes envy. It’s a shameful thing. Usain Bolt is putting all the sprinters in the world, past & present, to shame. So what do they do? Well, in Carl Lewis’ case, it’s throwing baseless allegations at stimulant use by not only Bolt but by the entire Jamaican track & field program.

Gold Medal Winners on Day 13 of the 2012 Summer Olympics
Another fantastic all-around day for the USA with Athletics, Water Polo and football gold, but with Usain Bolt on the track, everything else diminishes, even David Rudisha’s fantastic new world record in the 800 meters race. Bolt completed his second 100-200 double, finishing with 19.32 as he eased off during the final stretch.

Usain Bolt – The New Manchester United Star?
Everyone who’s been following Usain Bolt over the years and not just his performances on the track knows that he has quite a lot of love for the game of football. From time to time he likes to speak about it, like a day after his win in the 100 meters finals, saying that he wouldn’t mind trying out and playing for Manchester United.

Usain Bolt – Still the Fastest man in the World
He knew better than anyone. The talk about Usain Bolt being yesterday’s news in the sprinting world was all wrong. It took him 9.63 seconds over 100 meters to restore the faith in the fastest man to ever place his feat on the track, reminding the world who really is the king of athletics and the Olympic games.
